The DuroMax XP4400EH generator is a dual-fuel, user friendly generator that is an excellent choice for backup power and recreational uses. The dual fuel capability enables it to be fueled by either gasoline or liquid propane, giving you the choice of which fuel to carry.

It also provides 4,400 watts of maximum power to energize everything from running household appliances to small devices. Additionally, the convenient power panel on the side of the generator gives you several plug options, including basic house power 120V, 240V, and even a 12V/DC post connector.

The DuroMax XP4400EH also includes a battery-powered electric starter, so you don’t have to worry about pull starting. Whether you need a generator at home, at a Jobsite, or for camping, this reliable portable generator is sure to keep you powered up. This unit is EPA and CARB compliant.

Power Everything You Need with the DuroMax XP4400EH Portable Generator

Our modern lives require constant access to power, but sometimes you may find yourself without access to the power grid. That is where the XP4400EH generator from DuroMax can help. It has the versatility to bring power wherever you need it. In addition, its portable nature and wheel package means you can easily bring it along on an RV trip and move it around jobsites.

The generator’s control center has numerous features to keep you powered up and safe while using it. There is a NEMA L14-30 outlet which is commonly used for powering transfer switches and campers. It also has a standard GFCI outlet to directly plug in regular devices. A 12-Volt DC connector also allows you to hook up certain DC devices.

Losing power after a storm is like adding insult to injury, but a backup generator can make an unfortunate situation much better. It allows you to operate critical devices such as water wells and septic pumps, prevent losing food by powering refrigerators, and even power small air conditioners and heaters.

While a generator transfer switch makes using a generator a little easier, you don’t need one to get the benefits of a generator. Generators like the DuroMax XP4400EH offer standard 120V outlets that you can plug regular devices and extension cords into. You can simply unplug the devices and appliances from your house and plug them directly into the generator.

It is also important to remember that generators have limits, and you should calculate your desired wattage based on what you are trying to power. This generator, for example, will be able to power a window air conditioner (<12,000 BTU), a standard refrigerator/freezer, and a couple of low power devices such as a television and DVD player. If you do plan on plugging devices in directly, be sure to have long enough extension cords and that they are the proper gauge.

XP4400EH Dual Fuel Technology

DuroMax are known for their dual fuel generators. The XP4400EH can run on either liquid propane or gasoline. This provides the ultimate in versatility as you can easily switch between fuel sources with the turn of a knob.

Having fuel choice is critical in times of natural disasters, and being able to choose between gasoline fuels and propane is just one of the many benefits of the DuroMax xp4400eh dual fuel technology.

Sometimes you may want to use gasoline because it is easy to fill compared to finding somewhere that fills propane tanks. But some campgrounds do not allow cans of gas as a safety precaution. This is where propane can really come in handy, not to mention gas cans are oftentimes messy and troublesome.

Propane tanks come in a variety of sizes, so you can get a larger tank that meets your needs. Then, if the tank does run out, you can also switch back to gasoline until you get your tank refilled.

We also sell a full range of dual fuel models here from various brands.

Key Features

The DuroMax XP4400EH comes with many premium features that other generator manufacturers charge extra for. Most notable is the electric starter, which is not common on smaller portable generators. This is an amazing convenience over having to pull start, just press the start button, and the generating turns itself on and starts producing electricity. In addition to the electric start, it does include a standard recoil pull-start, so if the battery ever dies, you can still start the generator.

Another handy feature is the wheel kit which includes the wheels and handle making it a very user friendly generator. The wheels are invaluable if you need to move the generator around a jobsite or even just to get it from your shed to the house. Not to mention the wheels are metal with solid fill tires, so you don’t have to worry about them running out of air or breaking when going over rough terrain.

Also included is the necessary hose and regulator for propane which you will need to hook up to a standard propane bottle. Everything you need to get started is included except for either gas or propane, which you will need to supply.

The side power panel includes a voltmeter so you can conveniently check to make sure how much power you are producing. Next to it is a low oil shutoff light that will indicate if the engine needs more oil. The light is an important feature because there is a low oil shutoff that will turn the generator off if the engine gets too low on oil. Finally, there is the main circuit breaker that protects the generator, your wiring, and devices from short circuits and overcurrent protection. Likewise, the 120V outlet is GFCI protected for safety as well.

Specifications

The DuroMax XP4400EH is a dual fuel portable generator with industry-leading features. It comes backed by DuroMax’s 3-year warranty and includes 100% copper windings to ensure lasting quality and satisfaction. As a dual fuel generator, you can run either gasoline or propane, and the DuroMax XP4400EH has a 3.96-gallon fuel tank. With that size, you will be able to stay powered up for long hours without having to refill the tank.

The DuroMax XP4400EH has 4400 watts of starting power and 3500 watts of running power on gasoline. The starting power allows for a quick surge that certain motors found in high voltage appliances like air conditioners and refrigerators require. However, the wattage does drop slightly while running on propane with 4180 peak watts and 3325 running watts. The difference between gasoline and propane is normal and a result of how energetic each fuel is.
